Let’s see those bashsea sumps

Debatimg what i want to do i could run a 30in signature with a klir 7 or get a smart series 30x18 and i would cut a little of the edging to make a clarisea tuck up closer into the corner

Last tank i had a smart series 36x18 and loved it but using socks with it was a pain in the a**

I couldn't deal with socks due to travel requirements. My two klirs are working fantastic in my bashsea to date. Would do it all over again.

Yeah i definitely do not want socks i like that the signature 30 has a single large area as i may use it for frags single im gona try with out a skimmer

Ive just been looking at info last few days on rollers and seems the clarisea has had less issues than the klir but definitely a price difference lol

I've had zero issues with the dual klirs to date. In fact the rolls they shipped with lasted me two months. I expect less as my bio load grows but even if it drops by half I could call that a success. These things just work... At least for me they do. Haven't had to fight with them at all at this point.

Definitely good to hear i know i want a roller one way or another ive use socks and they suck last tank i did floss and cups and while there isnt any washing its still every 2-3 days

@Rob.bucek have you had any trouble getting the klirs to seal up so there isnt water bypassing them?

While I'm sure it's not a gasket seal, when the filters get clogged the water rises as expected. So it really works as intended in my experience. I'm sure some small amount trickles though without a doubt but it'll get circulated back through again. I've made a serious mess of my tank rearranging rock and sand to the point I could barely see though it and within an hour or two the water is crystal clear again. These things really strip the water clean. I think it provides a practical seal.

Let’s see who’s all running a bashsea sumps! I just got my custom 72x18x18 bashsea in Ferrari red and black today

I got the same exact sump this past June and love it. The only con I have for these is no lid available for the fuge section. Since I’ve had mine plumbed and running I go through 5 gallons a week of RO/DI water from evaporation versus that amount in two weeks when I had my Eshopps 36” sump in it’s place.

Yeah not a very good one cause when I set it up I knew we’d be moving this spring so I left the protective tape paper on it so it doesn’t get scratched prior to the move lol. Also hence my Chaeto reactor being out front and the cover off lol
