Let Me ID Your Wrasse!

She was sold to me as a lunatus but I'm not convinced. She's VERY pink/violet. Johnsoni? Squirei?
Pattern and tiny spot near tail match pictures of female squirei but her vivid pink looks like a picture I saw of @evolved 's female Johnsoni

It's C. cf. lunatus.

I don't get stumped too often any more, but I saw these wrasses at the LFS and have no idea what they are. They have a light green background and orange spots. The LFS could only tell me it is an orange spotted wrasse, which means they have no clue. Looks like halichoeres but I have no clue what kind. maybe a female of some type that is not too popular.

Halichoeres timorensis, and those are females right now. Males are very different.

Id? Listed as a lanceolatus

Without seeing the pelvic fins, can't say for sure, but it is most likely C. roseafascia, unless it is around $600-900, in which case it may be lanceolatus. If you can find out where it came from, that may help.

I asked them where it came from and all they knew is it’s a supplier in Florida. I couldn’t find any pics of a juvenile lanceolatus. The wife thinks it might be a C. Rubrisquamis?

Was the tail pointed or rounded? In the pic it looks pointed, but if it is rounded it very likely is rubrisquamis.

All the pictures it looks pointed, she may be just holding that way. Idk.

Can I get a little help with this one? I know male C. rubrisquamis and female C. Solorensis can be confused and I never learned to tell them apart. Leaning towards the male Red Velvet but I’d like to know how to tell for sure. Thanks!

Not sure I've ever seen a female C. solorensis, but this looks every bit C. rubrisquamis to me... and a nice one, at that! I should think that the female C. solorensis would be rather smaller . . .

That is a male C. rubrisquamis. Female solorensis are confused with male C. cf. cyanopleura, not rubrisquamis.

Looks like Cirrhilabrus lubbocki - Lubbock's fairy wrasse - in his display colors. When he's not so excited, the red and blue blotches even out to purple (usually with a few pinkish scales).

Shouldn’t be hard with black line on tail but I’m drawing a blank. Was a mis ship.

Edit I just realized how badly my other two wrasse photo-bombed in the second photo! My regal blocked the entire photo the first time around.

I bet you can ID both of those pretty easily, too. Especially the top one. I won’t spoil the fun.

Ok my educated guess is CF pylei based on tail and top fins black spot. Face is patterned a bit like a rubrimarginatus genus wrasse. Cirrhilabrus CF Pylei, AKA Sunset Fairy Wrasse
