Shouldn’t be hard with black line on tail but I’m drawing a blank. Was a mis ship.

Edit I just realized how badly my other two wrasse photo-bombed in the second photo! My regal blocked the entire photo the first time around.

I bet you can ID both of those pretty easily, too. Especially the top one. I won’t spoil the fun.

Looks like Cirrhilabrus lubbocki - Lubbock's fairy wrasse - in his display colors. When he's not so excited, the red and blue blotches even out to purple (usually with a few pinkish scales).

Cebu Cirrhilabrus lubbocki. It's pretty peaceful, can be kept with most other reef safe wrasses.

Purchased as a male, but I think it was a female and he's transitioning to male now.

C. cf. lunatus, definitely a male now.

C. katoi. They are certainly on the aggressive side for fairy wrasses.

hey guys i found this thread after listening to Hunter Hammond's lecture on Macna 2017 about wrasses. I am interested in a wrasse known as Orange head Wrasse. I am not sure what its scientific name is and whether it is different than the Lubbock's Fairy Wrasse (they both appear to be very similar). I already have a Lubbock Fairy Wrasse and if the Orange head is similar to Lubbock than i would skip to buy it. Unfortunately i do not have a picture now but i can get one later on. Thanks.

Definitely get a pic. There are a few fish that could go by that name. They should be fine with a lubbocki, but a positive id will help.

H is C. rubrisquamis. That chart is from Lemon, it's 100% correct.

That's what started the miscommunication with my LFS! I thought the second "H" is the C. Claire (look at the description beneath the photo.. there's two H's). It's the one I thought my LFS was getting because I thought the H in the image was male/female version of C. Claire.

Apparently the description H is supposed to be I, and the I is hidden in the C. Claire box (white text on white? come on, I didn't even see that! lol).

The H in the images didn't look like the Rosy Scale I have and got me curious if the chart was incorrect

The rubrisquamis is in a nuptial display, and it flashes it's body pale/white during those displays.
