Let Me ID Your Wrasse!

As a similar/sister species to melanarus, would the care requirements be the same/similar for chrysotaenia? I'm considering picking up the fish posted ($30 so no biggie) for a new 88g reef tank.

Correct, care and behavior are the same.

Pretty sure this is a Paracheilinus, not sure species. Possibly transitional male. Wondering if I want to reserve it for when I leave.

It looks to possibly a P. lineopunctatus. Is it's caudal rounded or pointed?

LFS owner just got here. He said either mccoskeri or carpenteri. It wasnt marked and he got it in a bulk shipment. I went ahead purchased it.

Thank you! I added a ruby head wrasse in my 80gal tank. It is hiding because it is contantly chased by this bully. Is there any hope?

Did you use an acclimation box? Regardless probably not. Choose one, but know that this species pictured here is pretty much incompatible with all Cirrhilabrus.

I didnt use an acclimation box. But i caught him an he is now in a isolation box. An now he escaped

Seemed like a show off post to me. Life has been past busy lately - barely have time to semi-keep up with this thread, let alone anything else on the site.
