Good evening. I just brought home a lovely new juvenile wrasse from my amazing lfs. Going into qt tonight. This is his pic from the lfs tank. He was listed as a melanarus. I have a juvenile melanarus, ID confirmed by this amazing group. He does NOT look like him. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
2nd pic in their tank with different light filter.

looks like Halichoeres bivittatus, the "slippery dick" wrasse from Florida and the Caribbean.

Thanks, Bruce. I was thinking it is halichoeres maculipinna (clown wrasse)

Sorry this is not the best picture but this is a McCosker’s right?

Hi, I bought this wrasse about 2 years ago , sold as a 'black wrasse'. A couple of weeks ago, I noticed him changing colors. Is he a juvenile Dusky wrasse transitioning? Not sure what order the pics will show, but the gray one was him before he started changing. Thanks!

Yes, that's Halichoeres marginatus.

Dear all,
Sorry for the poor quality of the pictures, but i really need your help.

Are theses melanomarginatus or scottorum?

I convince my LFS to bring me an exquisitus wrasse, but he received this instead. If i'm going to tell him that this do not work for me i need all the evidence that i can gather.

I really want to maintain the relation with the LFS since is the only one accepting the risk to bring wrasse for my collection.
