Well, that rules out flavianalis, as there's clearly red in the anal fin. But until we can count the filaments, it could be either of the other two still.

I have always wanted a pair/trio of flashers in my tank, and I pulled the trigger a few months ago on 3 flashers.

I ended up getting these 3, and unfortunately 2 were DOA.

Carpenter's Flasher Wrasse , Paracheilinus carpenteri, 1.5"-2.5", Indo Pacific, Male
Yellowfin Flasher Wrasse, Paracheilinus flavianalis, 1"-2.5", Indo Pacific, Male
Diamond-Tail Flasher Wrasse, Paracheilinus attenuatus, 1"-2", Africa, Female

I couldn't identify the differences in them, because they were all super small, and looked similar, so I left it on the seller to identify and refund me for which died. They told me the Carpenters / Yellow Fin were the dead ones in the pictures, and the Diamond-Tail was the one left alive (also the most expensive one).

Right now I have the following stock list:
Pintail Fairy Wrasse - Cirrhilabrus lanceolatus
Diamond-Tail Flasher Wrasse - Paracheilinus attenuatus (supposedly)
Exquisite Fairy Wrasse - Cirrhilabrus exquisitus

Ocellaris Clownfish - Amphiprion ocellaris
Kaudern's Cardinalfish - Pterapogon kauderni
Starry Blenny - Salarias ramosus
Flame Fin (Tomini) Tang - Ctenocheatus tominiensis
Lyretail Anthias - Pseudanthias squamipinnis

So now my questions....
1.) Do you agree that the picture attached is a Diamond-Tail Flasher female?

2.) A LFS has an amazing looking Carpenter's Wrasse Male, do you think he would cause any issues with my current livestock list?

3.) If you think #2 is okay, do you think this will help the female diamond-tail change to a male faster? It has been about 3 months now, is it possible to do anything to help the process happen?

Can't really say from that photo - too much stress going on there. It is a possibility - I don't see anything that would rule attenuatus out. It's at least a transitional male, whatever it is.

Of course, this depends on the answer to #1. If #1 happens to be carpenteri, then that wouldn't be a good idea...

I would need a crystal ball for that one. There is no way to predict such, and no way to certainly influence it.

What do you mean stressed (that's where he chooses to sleep)? Is there anything I can do to take a better pic, or things you look for?

The vertical white bars and blotchyness are stress marks, but sleeping will do it too. It's basically their camouflage.
Best case photo is something in focus under whitish lighting with the fins visible.

I think I am in agreement.
The first one does look like attenuatus. The second one, I can see yellow pigments in the anal fin, so flavianalis makes sense. The last (DOA) one I can't really make out, but if you got what you ordered, then by process of elimination...

Not a wrasse. its an male Lyretail Anthias.
