I'm curious what setups people use for return pumps on their systems?

I for instance use both a Rio 1700 and a Rio 2500 on my 120g tank. I'm thinking that this isn't enough? I'd like to get just one single pump and cut some electricity consumption.

Happy to help via Tapatalk:)

I use an ATB Flowstar 1500 on my 185g. Quiet and energy efficient. Had an Eheim 1262 on my old 90g, loved it for the same reasons. Both rarely receive cleaning but continue to run like charm.

On my 30g frag tank I'm using an Eco Plus 396. It's pretty quiet and was real cheap. We'll see how long it lasts.

Atb flowstar 1500 on my 225. Love it . I feel less flow threw sump is better for mechanical filtration. I use vortech mp60's for flow inside tank.

Reefnight, do u run it external or internal?

I use an Ocean Runner 6500 for the return which feeds 2 3/4" loc line eductors.

PanWorld 250PS feeding three tanks - 120 gal display, 45 gal frag, and 40 gal reef. Have a basement fish room pumping up 15 ft to te ain floor.

Waterblaster 5000 on my 225, should have got the 7000 IMO

I have a mag 12 that had been running non stop for over 13 yrs...I also have a back up one I bought as long time ago in case my main pump fails...but it never did...I now use it to mix up my salt mix...works great.

Using an via aqua 4900. Considering something else, but don't know what. + it works, so no need to change it yet!
