Wanted to do some when I started it, but that was exactly my delima. With the overflow I couldn't keep the water level low enough to satisfy, so I just opted not to add them. Excellent solution you came up with! May have to do that on next build.

Yeah it works well have them in all my overflows also makes sure all the water flows through them before going into the sump

I have a trigger systems sump and absolutely love it. I like how the refugium section covers the whole front of it. Everything is growing super fast and keeping my nitrates at 2.

I love it that's awesome I've been keeping triggers in my Haddoni tank and they are vet messy eaters a fuge is a great way to deal with that!

That's a really awesome sump! I wish I had one of those I have a stupid wet dry on mine so I had to set up a whole new tank for a refugium

My 5.5 gal for the 10gallon. Really thick chunk of chaeto from eBay. 15W 3000k LED. Left side has a heater. Also plan to put a protein skimmer there. Right side might get a float switch when I build a stand for the setup.

I need to clean the glass but here is my clown. I'm going to buy a second one this weekend. He is in my quarantine because he got the ick about 3 weeks ago after I accidently added too much calcium to the display.. maybe in a month and a half or less I'll buy an anemone. Still walking my light up to a higher par level but the corals I have in the front I think like the lower light. Might also add a piece off dry rock but not sure. If I did it would be perfect for the anemone to be closer to the light so I can run the lights lower.
