Lifespan of ocellaris

Yeah for all we know they could have been 15+ years old.
Yeah. And I can't find anything in my parameters to explain it so who knows. It sucks. But if Freebie possibly has several more years then I might try introducing a young male.

I know of a tomato clown (not ocel) that was obtained in 1984 and spent two decades as a breeding male and is now a breeding female to this day

15 years on a misbar ocelaris that was a paired male, lost the female, paired with smaller fish about 5 years ago. They get along and dance sometimes but no spawning. I think maybe, he didn’t become a she. Still waiting.

Mine never spawned. They'd dance as well, and would even clean a spot but I never saw any eggs.

I got a pair from a friend who lost his tank during Sandy. He said they were approx 15 - 16 yo. I recently lost one; but the other is still alive so it’s at least 23 yo.
BTW the PBT in my avatar was 17 when I lost it.
just curious...how big was your PBT?
