Looking for affordable led options for a 40 gallon breeder. I won't be growing sps just lps and softies maybe a nem.

Probably a bubble tip or long tentacle an easy to keep one for sure

And what do you consider affordable...what kind of budget do you have for lighting this tank?

I have the 32" pro timer version and it can do it all, from sps to lps...amd it only costs I believe 300 shipped and a 2 year warranty if I remember correctly...it's what I had on my 40b amd now on my 55

I bought 3 Kessil A160WE's on here for that price. So you could look on here to see what someone is currently selling.

What about the orbit marines? I had the same question about affordable led for corals and have been considering the orbit marine pros....would anyone recommend them?

And i have a 29 gallon breeder, but looking to get a 40 or 55 gallon since petco is having their $1.00 a gallon tank sale

Any other brand of led's I should look at. The length of the light i should be looking at?

Another option would be a couple of good LED strips. I have a strip from 21ledusa.com attached to my T5 fixture and live it. You can buy a 36" one for $110 and would only need a couple for a 40g breeder.

Your 40 breeder sounds very similar to the 40b that I have. I have been running the Reefbreeders Photon 24 with really good success for a few years now. The Photon V2 is a little above the stated price range, but I think it's worth the little bit extra.
