yeah orbits are pretty much junk. these will grow anything you want and give you "quick" growth. but GENERALLY speaking. this is how coral does under different lights
MH provides the fastest growth, but is very expensive to run, replacing bulbs plus the cost of quality reflectors and ballasts.
t5/t5ho provides good color and good growth and is easy to adjust the spectrum for better colors or better growth, can swap uv bulbs or whatever you want to find the perfect spectrum for what you want. but while t5 looks better than t5, you wont get near the growth.
LED provides the best looks out of a plug and play system. depending on what led fixture you get you can customize the spectrum via a controller. they cost the least to run but can be pricey depending on what you go for. the growth varies greatly based on what fixture you go with. in general they tend to be most expensive to buy out the box, but cost so much less to run and maintain that they pay for themselves. however with the breakthroughs in led technology cheaper fixtures have came to us in form of the Chinese blackboxes. often called *********. these units are cheap to buy, provide great growth and color.
personally if you got the back to support it I feel a proper hybrid of all 3 would be your best bet, but theres not many out there that I would call quality. remember, now a days, expensive doesn't mean quality in this hobby.
