can i use a freshwater aquarium lighting system for a FOWLR set up?

yes. But it may produce unwanted algae. Its pretty inexpensive to change the tubes to a 8,000 10,ooo k tube. Check on ebay. Topdogsellers has decent ones CHEAP.
Itll replace yucky algae with corraline in no time

That light can work on your tank but only for the FOWLR, you might need two for better color on your fish.
Do they have a Blue only?
As you can run a mixed White/blue in the back and Blue only in the front.
Have a picture of your tank?

I thought I may need 2, can I change the lights myself?
I don't have a picture of it. I move next weekend so I am going to buy it after I do but I plan on getting the 120 gallon by Innovative Marine. I have only done freshwater up until this point, but my tank is a 47 gallon, I wanted to go bigger when I do the saltwater. I won't go to do this until end of April-early May, I am just trying to do my research now and figure out what I need so I can do it once I am ready.

Doing a research will benefit you from making mistakes in this hobby, you're up to a good start.
And no on the chance of light for the link you send on here.

Do you mean no on using the light all together or no on changing the light? Sorry. Haha

It's almost impossible to change out the LED's from that light.
Even the High end lights as Ecotech radion or AI hydras's, they will let you change out the whole light puck but that's it.

If you are doing saltwater, I would get a light so that If you decided to add coral you can then you will not be putting out double the expense. Metal Halide is going to run hot and you will be looking to find a way to cool you water temp. Are you on a budget?

I would like to not have to spend a lot of money on lighting since I am not doing a reef system. I am having a hard time finding cheap lights for a 72" long aquarium. I found the ones that I posted a few posts up that was less than half this but I read and was told on here also that I would probably need two which would put me at almost this price anyways. I am not sure what I am going to do as far as lights yet.

Do you have a suggestion of another kind of light I could use?

We have a few sponsors on here that have some decent LED lights and not breaking the bank but probably need two to lit up a 72" tank.
Do you have the tank already?

No, I move next weekend, so I will probably order it next week.

But I would like to go ahead and order everything I need next week so I can begin this once everything arrives. That's why I am trying to figure out what I am going to get as far as lights.

Ok.
Is it possible to go smaller on the size 120 gallon 48x24x24 or 150 gallon 60x24x24?
