Lipstick tang

Sometimes it is very difficult to see velvet on lightly colored fish. Look at the fish at an angle to see if you can see a dusting or gold dust shimmer. Sometimes a small flashlight can help.
Is the tang breathing with difficulty, twitching?
I have looked with a flash light with her lights on blue. I can't see any gold dusting but I can see her skin is mottled along the bottom of her body

Try and get a couple of photos as clear as you can and hopefully will be able to positively id. As above though with no medications, a freshwater bath is pretty much the only emergency course of action you can take at the moment.

It does appear to be velvet. The larger spots are normal stress marks for a naso.

Upon zooming in the white dusty look is what leads me to believe it's velvet.

This fish needs therapuetic copper ASAP.

If you can't get meds until tomorrow then the best thing to do is a FW dip for 5 minutes to provide temporary relief.

Tomorrow I would start copper and do a 90 min acriflavine bath.

All of the fish that shared a tank with this fish need treated with copper and your display will need to be fallow for 6 weeks to erradicate velvet.
Could you please explain this in layman terms as I do not know what FW or a acriflavine bath is. Sorry never had anything wrong with my tank or fish before to have any experience

I posted a link with a video for the dip above as well as the instructions for the acriflavine bath.

I really can't answer that. I do know all the fish are quarantined by my LFS so they say I do not need to quarantine them when I get them home.
I have always bought my fish from there knowing this fact

Her gills are normal and she is not twitching. She is swimming about now.
Half an hour ago she looked like she was dying as she was laid on her side
Don’t ever trust a LFS to quarantine. They just can’t do it properly, it’s not economical. If they say this, they don’t know what they’re talking about. Sorry but I agree with @HotRocks here. Good luck :(

When you say my display needs to be fallow, are you saying there are to be no fish in the tank at sll

What other fish are in the DT? They will all need to be treated for velvet
2 oscilaris
2 Scooter Blennies
I Flame Angel
1 yellow tang
1 Regal tang
1 pyjama Cardinal
1 Banguai Cardinal
1 Baby Vallentini Puffer
1 Koran Angel
1 Royal Gramma
1Orange Spot Goby

Great stuff. I will just throw myself in the canal now..I only have one QT tank and the naso is in it
Unfortunately you now have to assume that the other fish are infected whether they are showing symptoms or not so if they all go in the same qt or not is fairly irrelevant. It’s whether the tank is big enough to hold your all current fish.
