I want to party with this guy!My suggestion: add a $100 of your own cash to the gift card and only buy from their Divers Den.
Have you had a good experience with dd before? My suggestion: add a $100 of your own cash to the gift card and only buy from their Divers Den.
Yes. Just got an awesome powder blue tang about 2 weeks ago. Before that, a 6-count of Blue Caribbean Chromies. The quality of specimen and packaging that comes out of DD vs their California facility is night and day.Have you had a good experience with dd before?
Thats good to know i was going to be going with dd or ora depending on this post or not risking it and playing it safe with equipment or maintenance products. Thanks for the info and sharing your experiences with it.Yes. Just got an awesome powder blue tang about 2 weeks ago. Before that, a 6-count of Blue Caribbean Chromies. In the same breath, I ordered 9 fish from their CA facility and lost 7 of them. The other 2 have to live in my sump for a year because they are soooooo small.
DD might be 2x the price of their standard stuff, but worth it, IMO.
Well thats good to know lol so sometimes you just gotta spend money lol. I have a good cuc as of now so dont need them yet at least but thanks for sharing your experience with themThey owed me a good amount of money after messing up my only previous order quite badly. So I bought the only thing I was confident would survive this time. A bunch of snails. 2 of the 4 bags lost most of their water but everything survived because they were snails.
So my advice get snails. But not from live aquaria. Get them from reefcleaners.org or another site that sells them at a reasonable price.![]()
I have heard the good the bad and the ugly and i was reading such good things about them until these last months. It is kind of why i wanted everyone's experience with it before making any decisions i live on the side of caution unless its work or metal projects lol but with this idk brings out the softness in a lot of people i guessMan I just have to say that it's such a bummer that live aquaria has become...this.
They used to be so good. Like "how can my LFS ever hope to compete with this" good. Even the stuff from LA. I had such good luck with them back in the day.
Yea i read from another site they had the same issue with them being small. Thanks for your input i appreciate it.I’ve bought some fish within the last year from them but I quarantine them. No issues but the inverts were super tiny!
And i bet your hesitant even using it! You looked at anything on there to use your store credit on?Just had a rough experience 2 weeks ago. Ordered 3 fish (california) 1 was wrong, 1 doa, the other didn‘t make it 2 days in qt. Yes they have alive guarantee, but now I’m stuck with about $250 in store credit.
Man its just rough with things from there is what im hearing.....thanks for the advice i appreciate it.Mixed. More bad than good. I like their salt but even that arrives beat on occasion.
Yeah i font mind paying the extra money to get quality just never had an opportunity to use something for live aquaria til r2r so i guess here i am lolThey only give you 1 year for the store credit FYI, but either dry goods or a WYSIWYG Clam from Diver Dens. Looking for the right one. Honestly after that experience , I broke down and paid extra for pre-qt fish from Dr. Reef. Spent $700. They have not shipped yet, but I love the idea of going from shipping box to display tank.
Diver’s Den is among the best quarantined fish you’ll find anywhere. The other stuff is hit or missSo thank you r2r team for the gift card and i am truly grateful for it. With that being said i have seen a lot of negative posts lately when it comes to the site. I would like everyones honest opinion on what i should do with the card. I have heard nightmares about doa lately and would never want to put something through that. Tell me your do's and do not's when selecting the items from live aquaria.
