Live Mysis shrimp in a display tank

Does anyone have live Mysis shrimp in their display tank? I noticed a few live Mysis tucked under the ledge of my new watermelon war coral, and I was wondering if anyone had been successful in keeping them alive in the tank without being eradicated by tank inhabitants.

Looked exactly like Mysis shrimp. I know what copepods look like, and this wasn't one of those.

No I have them too. It's live tiny shrimp. Cool right?
Not sure if it's a hitchikers or from viable frozen from feeding.

I have debated on buying 500 feeder shrimp and putting them in tank. But I would think they would get two big before my fish could eat them

I was pretty sure they need low specific gravity to survive.

whatever shrimp I have its been a year and they havent gone away, much to my mandarins enjoyment.
This morning they had that rock surrounded.

I have them as well. At first I had no idea what they were then after some searching realized they were a type of shrimp. I have 2 leopards and a few other wrasses but have never seen them eat one. They've been in my tank for at least 6 months now.

There were always mysids in my tank. Usually "flying" around in a corner somewhere. There's usually a whole bunch of them. They are not as easy for the fish to catch as some of the pods.

That's exactly what they look like. Definitely a shrimp and not a copepod or amphipod.

If you have hermits,mine spawn about once every week or 2 at night,they shake their booties and hundreds of these shrimps that look like that photo except with 2 antenna

I do have hermits, but I've never seen them spawn. I also never saw these in my tank until I added my watermelon war coral.

I've seen these in two tanks - the chaeto holding tank at one of the local reef shops, and a reef with a scorpionfish and a young green moray in it.

The mysids are too small for big predators to bother with, so were able to proliferate!
