liveaquaria shipping

What is the weight of the package? I am just wondering if they are shipping with more water in the bag and the trade off is a later shipment time?

Yeah it definitely had a lot of water but I still picked it up at the UPS facility already and the one fish arrived dead. I honestly think I am done ordering from LA.

There is no way a wrasse dies overnight from shipping unless it had a serious disease before. But yet they thought it was fine to ship it with that disease.

RIP... that sux.

Package is 30 LBS. CUC pack, 3 shrimp, 7 larger crabs, lawnmower blenny, 5 chromis, 30 snails.

Edit: Crazy thing is my package was 45 mins away at 7:30 this morning. Figured it would have been here early. Estimated time is still 4:30.

So then it seems like its a UPS problem - I have seen this also recently with orders (non-fish) it says expect between x and y - I can almost predict it will come long before x or a fair bit of time after y. But - I'm sorry for the loss - I have also stopped ordering online 'period' (except clean up crew).

To my knowledge. It still have not been delivered...............They have 23 minutes till I get to be an upset customer!

I'm still waiting for my delivery as well even though UPS driver is supposedly in my neighborhood. =(

*They came!

Glorious...added 15 mins lol

Looks like UPS drove past my house.

Always have got my packages before 10:30 till this most recent one, was supposed to be here by 1:30 today, a little after 4 now and it still isn't here, the bigger problem is the only one I am getting is the one from Rhinelander, the 2 boxes from LA are both lost in Ontario, CA somewhere, won't get them till at least Monday

it all depends on where you are on the UPS routes. my home gets all deliveries regardless of how they were shipped after 2 PM and often later. so I always have them ship to the local UPS store. it costs me $10 for the privilege, but get it before 11 and typically before 10. actually prefer fedex as i can pick it up at the local airport usually well before 10. our local ups only has pick-up hours from 5-7 PM!

Things happen, I can tell you of two different Chevron Tangs, the first I went to catch and sell to a friend out of my 300 gallon tank. It did not go well he ran into every rock before I could get him out. I told the friend to keep it for a month to see if it would live? He sent me paypal the next week said the fish was all healed and dong great. The second one I relocated from the 300 to a 100 gallon rubbermaid tub with the water from the 300 with a large water change. The fish swam into the net like he wanted to get moved? The next morning the Chevron was dead. Every time we move a fish we take a chance of losing them.

I got my order at 5pm that night. Only thing dead was my cleaner shrimp and 2 emerald crabs. Water was warm, so far everything is doing well. I will put in another order a few months down. It doesn't bother me with the shipment getting there closer to 5 so I don't have to take a day off of work!

Cleaner shrimp is pretty expensive. Are you getting a refund for the dead ones?

I am getting some fish today from LA.

Anyone else recently get just the next day air saver? Which means it doesnt get delivered till 3pm??

I feel like they have gone hill so much since Petco took over.
I have and no issue with condition of fish

They stand behind fish for 2 weeks which gives me a little confidence with purchase

Well I have another shipment today and it is only 5 lbs but 3pm delivery time. So since it is not the weight, it must of been a new contract between UPS and LA? Lucky for me I accept everything at work so it should be here at or before lunch which is only a hour after 10:30. One thing I noticed since everything goes through Kentucky the plane is getting there later and parting later so maybe UPS has changed something? I am guessing the cost of shipping has gone up, and if you have ever shipped anything overnight it is expensive for individuals. But I would rather have free shipping at $99 versus a higher amount. The reason is warranty and replacement/refund. Most places do not refund shipping cost, and at $49 for the product and $50 for shipping a my refund would only be $49 versus the $99 refund

I got one on Wednesday, got it around 330 pm, contained 3 tangs. Everything arrived fine, same insulated box and cold pack.

Usually it is 1030 this was a first.

Got a coral order next week maybe, I will report if it happens again.

Same experience I had. Got my order Wednesday afternoon. One tang never had any energy and died yesterday. Shipping and cold water likely did not help stress.

Well this is a scary thread... I just ordered a tang from LiveAquaria a few weeks ago, he was delivered on Good Friday at 9:30 in the morning. He came in perfectly healthy and hasn't had any issues at all so far. Now I kind of feel like I dodged a bullet.
