Copy that. I plan to have pet rocks for a long while!

Once my tank is fully cycled... When will I know when to add a CUC?
And what kind of clean up crew should I get?

You add the cuc after there is no longer any detectable ammonia or nitrites. Snails need something to graze on so adding them to a tank with very little algae growth often leads to the snails starvation. Both good sites below for cuc research and purchase.

I like #3 and #4. Not too much risk for dead space with the right powerhead placements, great look, nooks and crannies to keep your fish happy AND lots of coral placement options!

Aren't you the one always preaching about "Whole foods" being important? Who says some fruit isn't as important as fish guts?

One thing I wish had been suggested to me before I set up my tank was putting some plastic crate (sorry, can't think of the exact name of it right now) down before I poured my sand and placed my LR.

Here is a pic of the "plastic crate" I'm talking about...sorry that the picture is side-ways, but I don't think orientation is as important as just having the visual.

It is often referred to as lighting diffuser.

So of course the setup of my tank got pushed back... because of life and stuff.. Stupid being an adult! So I cant to put my rocks away. This weekend I should be able to fill her up and start the cycle and I am going to wing it with the rocks. I will try to do my best to get the #3 look I originally had.

Keeps the LR from sitting directly on your glass should you push down too hard when positioning. Also helpful holding frags in place that you put on your sand bed.
