Looking for a wrasse

I hate to be the one to tell you this but as a wrasse lover i must say something. A 20g is to small for a C.solorensis the minimum size tank I believe is a 75g and the flasher wrasse is a 55g.

How long does it take to reach the mature size for them

Sorry to say, but that tank is not large enough. Also that screen top is not nearly secure enough to be effective.

How long does it take to reach the mature size for them

Not long at all. 8 months from my experience with a yellow & purple wrasse. I have a 65g that is 3' long and I know it is not long enough.

Agreed that the tank is not big enough for that species and that the lip should not have any space between it and the glass.

I have always liked Potter wrasse

Beautiful fish for sure, but extremely difficult to keep. Agree with others that the tank is way too small for any wrasse, except Possum Wrasses (Wetmorella sp.)

Possum/Pygmy Wrasse is the only one I would recommend for that size tank. *EDIT* Good luck with that Solar Wrasse. I had one in my 36 gallon bowfront and it turned into an absolute terror. It will be incredibly cramped in a 20 gallon tank. The Possum or Pygmy Wrasse would be a better choice.

Just get a different wrasse, a possum wrasse, the type every EXPERT here is suggesting to you.

A pink streak wrasse (Pseudocheilinops ataenia) is also suitable.

Can you not return the fish to the LFS? Confining the fish to such a small space will cause it to become very stressed long term.
