Looking for aquascaping tips ?

Cut piece of plexi to size of area you are going to cover. Foam rock to plexi, the foam and rock will peal of plexi once set. Foam 3-4 magnets into the rock scape. Use skill saw with diamond or masonry blade to cut wall into 3 pieces. Place rock panels into tank securing each panel with another magnet or steel on outside of tank. I think by doing the entire scape then cutting panels, you should have descent seems. If the seems are noticeable, take pieces of Tonga branches and foam them to one side so they overlap the seems.

Make sure you wear latex gloves

I applied in dry tank. I would guess that it is toxic until cured. unsure if it will set underwater, I will research.

Just wanted to thow this idea at you since your post spawned it. This idea would be an expensive start, but could revolutionize scaping. Take pictures of rocks you like, then upload 2d photo to autodesk 123 cloud servers. They will then render the photo into a 3d image for free and email back to you. You would then need a 3d printer, $500-3000+. Print 3d images out of abs filimant. Secure to tank with magnets. You could create outrageous scapes that are light and portable.

You could also use the 3d printer to make bulk heads, overflow box, pipe, locline, screens and the list goes on. I even seen plans to print a small aquarium out of polycarbonate. Sorry, kind of stealing yor thread, back to topic. Do you have to make the scape removeable?

Lol. It's ok bro, it's exciting to talk about this. It needs to be removable incase I move or upgrade plus it would be nice to be able to move for maintenance

I would say the best bet is to flat cut or use small pieces of rock foamed together with magnets. Thinking of using this method to make shroud for power heads.

Yup after our discussions and some research online I'm definitely gonna go LR, foam and magnets , found a bunch of small 10 lb magnets might go with a few of those.

I'm actually looking at my tank and I'm thinking of taking some rock out for this only going half the length and creating a nice ledge. Gonna use this idea to hide filter parts, power heads etc. it's gonna be nice

I'm gonna remove the rock from lower left ,leaving some open ground. , I'm gonna start my wall on the left side working right stopping 1/2 way throw in a few ledges use black foam to cover filter intake and fans. Did you use the tetra pond foam
