looking for ideas to mount dc power supplies

I took some left over aluminum and welded pieces together to make shelf rack. I needed to mount 5 and keep it compact, so this should work good. Still not done, but I made shelf rack so far. Going in my all metal enclosure with other electronics.

I would reccomend velcro in enough time you will have to replace pumps and the power supplies velcro will make that process easier

It really is going depend in the supplies and how hot they get. Generally I would not recommend it.

I got lucky and found someone selling a few NIB on ebay. Its an electrical enclosure. It didn't come with a back plate, so I bought an aluminum plate. It worked out well since I'd rather have the aluminum back plate instead of steel, and the left over scraps came in handy for the power supply shelf.

1/2" velcro plus these puppies work great. If I can screw to wood, I use a stainless steel screw, otherwise good double sided tape from 3m.

No as you're very likely reduce the life of the PSU.

I use a fan over mine to cool them and keep them well separated. PSU can cost a small fortune these days for OEM units so it's worth taking care of them.

I mounted my LED PSU's on a simple shelf that i drilled spaced holes, just used an off-cut of wood so it cost nothing.
