How about the clown trigger or a majestic angel if your open to angels they aren’t too aggressive and are not too hard to take care of neither one of those also may I suggest a purple tang or an emperor angel

Already have the latter two, and I have toyed with a majestic - is a good suggestion. The clown trigger exceeds even my reef safe tolerance LOL

Group 2 - In various stages of QT (14 fish)
Emperor angel - almost ready
Unicorn tang - almost ready
Four lubbocks wrasses - few more weeks
Eibli angel - very picky eater
Three chalk basslets - tiny; need girth
Four leopard wrasses - also tiny

Group 3 - Under Consideration (with concerns)
Majestic angel - maybe too many angles already, will have to see
Rainbow basslet - maybe too reclusive for an active display
Achilles Tang - low level ich in system
Red tail trigger - destructive?
Multibar angel - problematic feeder
Potters wrasse - hard to find; hard t0 acclimate

I think trigger. I like blue throat if the crosshatch is out.

You only have 2 large angels. The majestic would be great, or a goldflake

Magnificent foxface or the goldspot rabbit would be nice I think

I figured I'd let my sons select the trigger (within reason) and they went red tail ..... who am I to argue. A little worried about the majestic in a reef tank, likewise for the semi (plus I think I've already blown my 2018 fish budget)

I've kept the emperor in a reef tank on two prior occasions, mostly it was well behaved. Had a majestic for a bit in a FOWLR, never in my reef. Mostly going by the LA designation. With caution for the emperor; not reef safe for the majestic. Plus I'm thinking that even in a 450 I may be at about the upper limit for larger fish.

Group 4 - In the refugium (a 120XH)

Gem Tang - quite small at 2"
Zebra Tang - a convict with a few extra stripes
Long nose Black Tang - a total wus
Naso Tang - there to put on size
Pair of Meleagris leopard wrasse - male maybe my favorite of all my fish
Orchid Dottyback

The tangs remain there simply because I'm unwilling to expose them to the zebrasoma gang in the big tank.

Actually been thinking about a peppermint hogfish. Anyone keep it?

I know this post is old but I purchased one recently. So far so good. Its a really cool looking. Doesn't seem to be bothering my snails or cleaner shrimp. Aggression is very mild at this point. I have a few wrasses. Only time will tell I guess.

I would love to have an Achillies as well or you could also maybe consider s sohal. In terms of aggressive, I have seen both be nice and mean. However, the Sohal isn’t so prone to ick etc. I want to add an Achilles but not sure my 240 is large enough.
