Looking to get some leds for my first 55 gallon setup HELP!

Will it grow stuff? Sure. Will it look good while growing stuff? That's all dependent if you like blurple or not.

Also you will be better off taking off the optics so you can diminish the night club disco look and banding especially with the red leds they come with. I would actually take it a step further and add a frost glass diffuser to the unit. With no optics, diffuser glass panel, and some diode swaps you will actually have a nice fixture that competes above it's price range.

Ohh and these things are all blurple because they stack they 460nm blues like it's going out of style vs 450nm. Also I highly doubt the binning is very close so that 460nm is more like 470nm. You can tone down that blurple by taking out a lot of 460nm and replacing with the reefbreeder 450nm blues. Also take out the red diodes altogether as the unit has warm white. Replace 12k white with 4500K neutral and you got a much better spectrum which will end up consisting off:

3500K
4500K
7500K
420nm
450nm
460nm
520nm

yea i pulled most of the lenses. kept only "white" n blue on my sb lensed

but they'll grow coral outta the box just fine.

Thought you were being serious about the trash bin since it's basically true. These are 5 cent diodes that come on these things.
