The best reef safe antifungal that I know of is Fluconazole ( Reef Flux) . Interestingly the recommended treatment for aspergillosis in humans is itraconazole. So that are in the same family and fluconazole may be effective provided the ring is a fungal infection. For dosing info I would look up Fluconazole treatments for GHA and Briopsys and follow that for your tank. Other medications you can try is treating the tank or dipping with KanaPlex
or MelaFix.

Alright the local petsmart has melafix and pimafix. I'll do the combo for 7 days and see how it goes. If no reaction I'll try the others. Looking forward to seeing what a mess the skimmer makes when I go to turn it on after the rounds of meds

I had some skeleton issues with my frogspawn about 6 months ago. My frogspawn was receeding. I started dosing reef plus and it turned completely around and now is doing great.

any coraline growth? don't see ANY in your pics... something may be outta whack, did u try to seed any?

our wavy lps hate low no3 and po4, we dose both. i recall in coral collecting videos that a lot of these torches/hammers are collected near rivermouths (lol). therefore 'higher' nutrients. anyhow, if TSA ever said anything to me, i'd certainly listen, lols. and what's the typical dKH of the ocean?

manganese makes ours happy, they tend to extend more... but then you need to icp the water on a regular basis.

If it is some delayed onset of an infection, consider dipping in lugols and see if that helps. I've dipped torches with rapid tissue recession for no apparent reason and saved them.

I've never used any iodine for a dip. Should I just order some 2% off Amazon or does the brand matter?

Manganese or magnesium? If manganese do you check your levels? How do you keep up with how much you add and how much is in the water?

I use RO/DI water. I do run charcoal filtration as well just in case other corals are chemically attacking to flush this out. My placement is medium flow and I use LED lighting. I noticed my Torch started shrinking after I switched to LED from MH. I tried my best to duplicate the light by placement. It is still shrunk but not dying. I wonder as I have heard that a lot of these LED manufacturers now are creating diffusers for their LEDs if they know something we don't. I am wondering if the direct LED lights are too intense? I have placed him now under a ridge halfway up tank on face and am going to see what happens. And oh yes I do use Phosguard and a Reactor. Other corals are great in fact I can see my Star polyps growing visibly on a daily basis, yes that fast. Using Salifert All in One, and dose Aquaforest Florine two drops every two days in a 75 gal with 30 gal sump as I do believe Iodine to be the fastest used chemical by corals in a tank. My parameters are as follows;

Iodine 0.03-0.06 ppm
Alk - 10.2 dkh
Calcium - 410 ppm
Magnesium - 1350 ppm
PH - 8.2
Nitrates - 0 -1
Phosphates 0 -.25
Ammonia - 0

I am using Evergrow TI 5200 48" LED fixture placed 12" from water surface. Lots of cleanup crew, 10 snalis, 10 hermit crabs, lots of baby snails. Also using Miracle Mud which the other corals seem to thrive on. I will keep this post updated to see if placement just out of direct light has an effect. If anyone sees something here I am missing please comment. Thanks!

3 days of pimafix and melafix so far. The purple his disappeared but there is still some discoloration of the skeleton. I started with these since they were available locally and I'm waiting on the reef flux in the mail.

I'll update again Wednesday after treatment has finished, plan on adding chemiclean once I'm done with meds to clean up the cyano. Hopefully it's not too much going on at once.

I would get Red Sea nitrate pro kit and test again. As for phosphate I would get Hanna low range or ULT checker. 1 PPM phosphate is pretty crazy if you do some research. Usually people try to have it around 0.1 ppm.
