Are you draining it ?
I'm thawing it in rodi, breaking it up, rinsing it with rodi in a net, straining the water out by squeezing it with my fingers, scooping out of the net, adding one drop of aquaforest fish v, letting sit for 5 mins, then feeding it slowly. I would love to hear your suggestions! I like the idea of putting it in the fridge for the sitter! I'm going to be gone for 10ish days.

My lfs said once it fully thawed out it's no good to freeze again. But I really don't know
Interesting! Me eating thawed and refrozen fish I caught was not a good idea. I only did this because I didn’t separate the fillets (lazy). Lol. I do think if not left to rot would be ok

Oh that wasn't your idea... sorry!

Rod's and LRS both ****** foaming for a while for me after feeding. You are throwing away money rinsing these premium foods.
How? Literally no visible particles are being washed away. I add vitamins

Pretty sure I don't have the equipment for flash freezing! I suppose I had better start looking for another brand. Bummer. I liked LRS
See if you can find one close to you. Personally I don't feed much frozen and have never had issues but if it's a shipping delay issue then finding a supplier that is close to you would solve that.

I don't live far from BRS. I suppose I could give them a try as they carry Rod's. I feed tdo pellets too, I just like to give them variety

The same thing happened at 2 of the lfs's in my area. Minneapolis. So I don't get how they thawed. But they did.
Klyle, I live in that same general area and I purchase Fish, Reef and Herbivore Frenzy from a LFS in New Brighton all the time and NEVER had any issues with the food at all. There are some LFS's in the Twin cities area I would never set foot in again. Without mentioning names their frozen food freezers were a complete mess, open packs of food just thrown around, packs were mushy, and the smell was terrible.

I use these little solo condiment cups to make portions for feeding in my absence

Me too. It's all I've used. Never had a problem until last month now my skimmer goes nuts. If you rinse the food in a net it doesn't rinse away any of the particles. They bind up with the larger ones
If you rinse it for sure rinses a way small particles as nets are not that fine of mesh. You would need some type of filter sock.

I've been to the Reef Collective quite a few times and have only had great service and awesome livestock! They did however have a problem a few months back- can't remember if it was their freezer that went bad or the shipment arrived thawed, but they told me they weren't comfortable selling it, which I appreciated. The problem I'm having isn't with thawed food, its both Reef Frenzy and Fish Frenzy (the last two packs I've purchased anyways) have made my skimmer go nuts. The problem is somewhat mitigated by rinsing first. I will have a tank sitter soon and I would like to avoid asking them to rinse the food...or empty the skimmer everyday! Does RC carry Rods? I don't think I've ever seen it there

People leave the fridge door cracked sometimes as well. I went once and the food was partially thawed. I decided not to purchase.

Its better if not thawed but no way is it not any good just because it thawed. When manufactured they flash freeze which is the best way to freeze seafood but as long as its not thawed long enough to spoil its still good

There are particles that are measured in microns that are not visible when you are rinsing.
That's why I said visible. I understand that, all I'm saying is there are still plenty of very small particles when I feed. I have high nutes so I'm not very worried about my corals getting food. I'd rather not feed the pests
