All spots are gone now and none stayed for very long, half a day after a heavy feeding all spots are gone and so far none have returned, this is why I think it’s lymphocytis, looking for opinions!

Lympho typically does not "go away" in a day.

Any other symptoms? Flashing, scratching, hiding from light, or swimming into flow of powerhead?

How long have you had this fish? Did you QT?

Any new additions to your tank, corals, fish, or inverts?

Well it was a very minor start, I feel like it has the potential to have gone away in a day, likewise ich also doesn’t typically come and go in one day, also sand in the slimecoat is an option. I did QT the fish but did NOT Qt the group of snails I added (you can bet I’m regretting that choice, lesson learned) None of the symptoms you’ve said have happened, and I’ve had him for about a month, most of that being in QT.

UPDATE:

All spots still gone, fish is in perfect condition.

Another quick update incase anyone else sees this post, Fish is still perfect in terms of appearance and behavior, thinking sand or a quickly beaten lymphocytis at this point. Any other opinions are appreciated.

UPDATE: Numerous spots on fins and body.... super confusing timeline here.

It appears to be velvet, with that fast of a cycle. Can you post additional pics?

It does look like velvet to me. Do you have any other fish in that tank with the flame angel?

Do you have a QT running?

Angel is the only tank inhabitant, and I’ve got a cycled and running QT aswell. The issue is, currently that QT is inhabiteted by two healthy new arrivals

I would either move the fish to your QT and treat it along with new arrivals, or you would need a second QT tank.

You will want to allow your DT to be fallow (fishless) for at least 6 weeks to erradicate velvet.

Also the 2nd post has treatment advisory by @Humblefish
It is very effective and your best chance at survival.

UPDATE: Fish is out of the DT and into a Qt with therapeutic levels of copper, currently undergoing treatment and fallow DT for 10 weeks to be safe, (I feel a velvet infection would've killed this fish within the week she was infected, or this is just one tough flame angel.) So i'm going the safe route with a 10 week fallow! After with Dt is clean and the fish i currently have in QT are in the DT i will be observing her in my main Qt for another couple weeks, then its back into the DT :)!

September 1st here I come :(

Your tank looks new. If that the case, just break it down, sterile, and set it back up a couple weeks later

Id rather not cycle the tank again, plus, i can use this time to move my corals and inverts into this system when they graduate from my coral and invert QT, get thru some nuisance algaes and stabilize parameters. Not to mention my fish in QT currently wont even be ready for this DT for another month and those are really small still. I think there can be benefits to this 10 weeks! :D

Alrighty, update time:

Today’s the conclusion of her 14 day copper treatment, she will be getting transferred into my clean QT system shortly. She has moderate fin damage and decent color loss, also white lips. I suspect these will heal and subside once I can feed her a selcon/mysis blend and we get her outta that copper!

Acclimated well to my QT, white lips have regained there color and fish is eating well.

Glad to hear it's going well. Good job caring for these fish!

UPDATE: At some point, around the 27th, Ich/Velvet had returned to the QT, Whether or not this was an infection that was able to increase in intensity by using the typically ich vulnerable angelfish, or if it was already on one of the other new arrivals in QT and was unnoticed, I cant be sure. The other option is, the LFS i was treating him at was incorrect in their copper dosage.(If you want something done, do it yourself) Though i do endlessly appreciate the LFS for their assistance with this fish.

I started to dose CopperSafe since its a chelated copper, and itll be easier on my species, on the 4th.
Then I found the thread about coppersafes inconsistent concentrations ;Woot https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/c...instruments-high-range-copper-checker.368943/

I then went out to purchase a Hanna Copper Checker. (What a great piece of equipment BTW) and have verified the dose of 1.00ppm, i dosed 5ml of coppersafe into my 10 gallon QT, meaning my bottle is also at a higher concentration than is intended. Mardel needs to step it up.

I am continuing to dose copper and raise it to the therapeutic range (1.5ppm-2.0ppm) over the course of the next 3 days. So far all fish have been eating well and i can barely tell I've dosed copper the the system :)

Now lets just hope this strain of Ich has a life cycle shorter than 30 days!!!!!

Oh and @HotRocks Ive been thinking a lot about the diagnosis, the lifecycle is pretty fast for ich, however this isn't overwhelming my fish, and they don't have any symptoms of velvet specifically.
I've also never had to give them any medicated baths, and seeing as the first sign of ich in the QT was seen on the 27th (Didn't start dosing right away, since i wast sure if it was sand or a parasite at that point) It seems unlikely that a true velvet infection would be this mild, from my understanding, an untreated fish with velvet would never make it from the 27th to the 4th. (Especially not without symptoms)
