mojo, from what you saw in the color rendition of the led fixtures new and old, which in your opinion was the shinning star?

Well Most people there were using AI, Acan lighting, or reefbrights. Or a combo. Not all but most. The interface on the ecotech is yet to be determined. So I dont know how it will look for sure. But at $749 for a light the same size as the AI. Its going to be hard to compete. I got to play around more with the vertex light too. They are super nice as well. I think the new AI Unit with some of its really cool mouting features will be the best item that came from the show.

Now for best free item I recieved.... Besides the popcorn from the reef2reef booth it has to be the Avast Hand towel.

Not to mention I got to meet Justin and what a great guy. The new smoked acrylic on the skimmer is really cool too. Nice to have a US manufacture making products to compete with the china products at competive prices. In most cases these are even better products.

I run ecotech pumps and thought it was kind of cool how the new echotech LEDs were going to work with the pumps, like storm mode... Lightning turbulence.. Etc and how easy you could upgrade an change the LEDs.

ok they had a chance to go see Main Campus, Its a school for High school students to take college level classes in specialty areas. One area is marine biology. They have like 14000 gallons of water and tanks and tanks of all types of things. Breeding fish to making special gel food. Its amazing really that they have something like this. They have to learn to dive , learn about corals, fish, the ocean, its detailed.

Just want to say THANK YOU! I am really regretting not going this year, but I couldn't afford (money or time) to make the trip up there. I'm hoping to go to the one next year in Dallas! I went last year to Orlando and have been depressed this whole week that I'm not going this year. Once you go, you never wanna miss it! Pics are awesome!
