Honestly it’s not a stores job to screen all customers to make sure they are equipped for such an animal but falls solely on the purchaser.
That said the owner said he is now going to inquire from customers in the future to try to help keep this from happening but then again if a store wouldn’t sell you something because they didn’t like something about your tank that probably wouldn’t go over too well. Just my opinion.
I really think that these anemones showed up on there last bit of life from the vendor. I am working with the owner also on a hospital system in his store to house anemones when they get in and see if they need treatment. He has Cipro on the way and I am showing him the protocol Minh wrote up. So atleast he is trying to improve.

We disagree fully and completely on that.

When your LFS brings in livestock, they're now responsible for the current Care, health, and wellbeing of the animals, As well as the future wellbeing of the animals. We are human. Coral and fish can't ask qualifying questions for themselves.

Your LFS are Supposed to be the professionals. They are the ones that should know better then to send a 6-in regal, Home to someone with a 32 gallon BioCube.

IF this was the mantra of my LFS, It would not go well. You're right. I would stop going there if I saw these practices on the regular. They do have an ethical and moral responsibility to ensure that a client wanting to bring home a specific animal, has the fundamental requirements to keep it healthy.

It's even more upsetting if these mags came in " on their last leg" as you believe, and they still sold them to customers.

The anemone I bought that came from the same vendor,in at the same time as the 2 here is doing better and is on its 5th day of treatment

YOU homie are doing great work! Please don't let my rant on the LFS take anything away from that. They are unprepared and you are doing everything you can to help the animals.

As an anenome lover, I would like More people to have them, not less. It just takes some planning and education.

Not to change species on everyone but LFS felt bad about everything and wanted to do something for the effects at hand so I got a bubble tip for cheap.
He had it come in several months ago and it disappeared one night and wrote it off as dead. He didn’t find it until yesterday when he was moving rocks around in a coral tank.

The last Mag is trying to hold on. When I did tonight’s water change it pulled itself into a ball almost. Day 2 treatment started at 8pm... already done 5 water changes trying to keep the water clean

Well I was too late to save either Mag. Did a water change on this morning and it was falling apart and stunk. Did everything I could but still sucks. Guess this will be a good example of why you should have what you need to treat an anemone if it needs it (both supplies and knowledge). Also shows that not getting a anemone treated at first signs of infection can cost the anemone it’s life. I bought mine on Friday and started treatment that day because the mouth was gapping and starting the inflation deflation cycle and it is slowly recovering. These other 2 that have perished were brought in by the same vendor on the same shipment. The first one that died I received it on Monday (3 days later) and started treatment and the second one I received was on Wednesday (5 days later). Had I just spent the extra money on Friday (which I didn’t have) I could have saved them but the couple extra days is all it took to break the camels back.
That said I am going to tend to the anemones I have and get them back to optimal health before I consider any more. Also the LFS is going to hold off on ordering any more in until they get things in place to treat for them when they arrive.
