You do know you have to cure that rock ,correct ?

Yes, planning on doing so in a 10g. On my counter if it doesn't smell, in the garage if it's stinky. I did get the base rock rather than premium, so hopefully less die off because there's less on it?

Currently the eel is on the counter with a few rocks from my dt (and good seeded media in the filter), so I can move this few rocks over once I get the PVC and sand going. I've been doing daily w/c since its the temp tank.

How long should I expect to 'cure', just go off ammonia levels, right?

Ok, I've done the thing. I cheated and I looked it up from the app I had to install for setup.

What do I need this for?

When I set up the apex initially, I'm connected fine. I "linked" correctly. But on the fusion site, it's saying I'm missing a lot of modules and probes and basically still thinking it's on the last guys system, except it says my name. I'm looking to reset it as if it's new so I can program and add things to my needs rather than trying to undo everything that's already there. Did that make sense?
