Maggie's Mixed Reef Build V3, now a 75!

I have the inkbird controlling the finer points of temp and the apex controlling the inkbird.

Basically, I don't want to wear down the relays in the apex unless absolutely necessary. I just have the apex watching over the Inkbird. (turns Inkbird off if too hot. alerts if too cold.)
That was my thoughts. Wasn't sure how it would work though.

plug inkbird into apex EB8
Code:
Fallback ON
Set ON
If Tmp > 77.0 Then OFF
If Tmp < 77.0 Then ON
I ddidnt even put in the alert...

K wait. #1, How do you do alerts. And #2, if I were to do that, I need to change some things on the inkbird, but for some reason when i look at it I get all crosseyed. Inkbird confuses me. I need to change it to Celsius first, then I'd like to bring the temp down a degree. It's set at 78f now, but I'd like it at on at 76 and off at 77. Or whatever in Celsius.

Well I danced with the devil today and installed a new heater that's being 100% controlled by the apex ...... hopefully. One of those titanium heaters with no control knob so they must be run with a controller. I'm trying to use the Apex rather than the inkbird, because that's one of the reasons I got the apex, for control. I still have the inkbird there so if I feel like apex isn't doing it I can go back to the old way.

Scary.

Have some pictures.

Beautiful

Thanks! But I think I need more flowers! 17 isn't enough, right? Was hoping they'd be breeding but so babies yet.
You can never have enough flowers ;)… I’ve read that breeding can be really hit or miss.

So, because I don't have a thread about the dwarf Seahorses, here's an update.
Had a hiccup yesterday, combination of gorg issues, temp too low, flow too high..... things are better today. Also, got a bigger cube, now a giant 3 gallons! I want to incorporate a way to hide all the cords and the air pump so I'm going to make a small stand/platform for it. I think 2" is enough to clear the air pump and shove the cords under. I had some scrap wood that's perfect for it. Ordering a light also.

Found out brine shrimp eggs can be very different. New type hatches so much better.

And lastly, both babies are eating constantly. Cute.

I totally like my yellow watchmen gobies. Have 2, one in this tank and one in the Evo. The one in this tank is huge, probably close to 4 inches. Not shy at all with this pistol friend. They are out most of the day. He keeps a huge range of my sand clean. Love him and his grumpy little face.

So I have this bright green booger that's been hanging out on the backside of my yuma for a week or so. First I thought maybe someone in there clipped a piece of the elegance or the hammer, but the color wasn't quite matching either of those. But today I definitely spy some texture that makes me think it's someone new growing. The only thing I can think of is a baby rock flower?

Next time in my the tank I'll reposition it to face the glass for better pictures.

No that's a boog.

But really, this is on a yuma rock and all the babies start out dull. All my other mushrooms are different colored. Nothing else is really that shade of green. It's wild. Excited to see what it turns out to be.
