Magnifica Anemone

You just found a new ultra 'nem, what're you gonna name it?

Lol [emoji23] umm not sure but this is probably the coolest anemone I have ever seen , bubble tips are overrated to me and invasive. Colorful yes but not my cup of tea. I’ve seen some bubble tips go for hundreds if not thousands of dollars but this already is unique and blowing them out the water to me.

Bubble tips make me mad because you find a beautiful color morph with a great pattern and it deflates its tentacles in your tank and becomes long and stringy with washed out colors from the stretching of the tentacles.

won't stop me from trying though

Exactly and the are photoshopped a lot , mags and gigs look more natural imo

There it is, Ive updated my post for everyone to see now, this is just under regular blue LED nothing special

If the question is whether or not H. Magnifica with green tentacles exists then the answer is yes. I had one (see video below) which I believe is the same one that @davocean purchased from me. The ones I’ve seen usually have white tips.

The tentacles of mine don’t seem to be green though...

I've had a couple of mags in the past where the green is on the base of the tentacles and on the oral disc. I know one importer brings a lot of these (or used to at least) that were a muted purple color on the column of the foot, neon green oral disc and tentacles, and white tips. Pretty sure the one @CoralsAddiction posted above is of the same morph. Here's a picture of one of the ones I'm referring to.

Yours definitely looks very bleached at the moment and I seriously doubt it will maintain that cool light fluorescent look to it when it colors up. Still it looks like a healthy specimen overall and you shouldn't have too much trouble coloring it up in a mature stable system. Congratulations at finding one in the current ban environment and at such an insanely low price!

Yea I knew it was bleached but I took the chance with it , so far so good , It hasn’t moved since I placed it there and I got it to eat once. Should I be concerned if it doesn’t ball up at night ?

I think lighting plays a big role in what we see, and water quality and overall health may shift colors some.
Mine that I got from coralsaddiction do have green tentacles, usually more visible from top down shots in pics and that may vary depending on photo skills/camera settings.
Many I see have more cream colored tips than white I think, and perhaps that yellowish cream color mixed w/ our blue lights may give more of a green color in pics.
Bleached anemones often show bright colors under our lights, it's more so just the lighting reflected on the white/bleached areas.

Here are a few pics with light off...

This is very much what mine looks like when lights are off.
If I threw heavy blues/actinics on it I could make mine look like yours does in those very bright pics that look like heavy actinics

Guess I just have to let it color up and see , it seems pretty healthy though , thanks!
