Should I move my Acan and Milli?

It's blocking light for my Acan and it's tentacles are touching my Milli.

Thanks

Hi! I would move them if you can!
Kinda sucks. They are glued. The Acan I can pry off I think. Should I just snap the milli off as far down the base as possible?

If that’s your only option do it , the mag will kill anything it touches, I keep mine isolated high up on a rock away from the walls of the tank and coral , mags are known to move around a lot.

Yea do it if you can! I know the feeling....I have had to move corals before! I feel your pain....but better than having your nem kill your corals though!

If I was in that situation, I would plan for the future. Minimizing anything contacting or reducing the amount of flow and light to the mag. Leaving an open pedestal of consistent conditions for your mag to stay happy:) You pretty much have to cater to it or it will bring you anxiety when it goes for a vacation.

The Mag is something else. He ate a fish last week

Another thing. It closes up like this sometimes when the lights go out. The clowns just keep on it anyhow.

Is this normal?

How long have you had it? Deflation cycles generally are a bad sign. Mags will shrink in size at night but should not get that flaccid appearance.

3 weeks. It only does it sometimes and only at night

I also touched it getting my Acan moved

Keep a close eye on it. Mags are notorious for contracting bacterial infections during shipping. They initially look fine during the day, but take on that flaccid, pancaked look in the evening. Over time the deflation cycles get worse until the anemone dies. Antibiotic treatment is usually required.

No that is a bad sign , I can tell you from personal experience. My first magnifica did the same exact thing till eventually it turned into a pile of goo. This is my current mag and it only deflated once and that was during acclimation. They are notoriously bad shippers and often have infections, I would advice you to treat it ASAP if you want to save it.

Does this look healthy today? I want to add that the NEM has only deflated 2 time in 3 weeks at lights out.

I am just wondering if I should take some action based on others comments...

Just monitor it. A healthy, established magnifica shouldn’t deflate ever. Mine hasn’t in two years. Perhaps the only exception is if it’s trying to split.

But overall it looks pretty healthy right?

Just now below...

Unhealthy Magnifica can look OK most of the time, but deflates at the end of the day. The deflation will get more and longer. Healthy Magnifica should not deflates, which is a bad sign.
