This means a lot coming from you, I've always considered your photos as some of the best online. A healthy chunk of the tank is populated with BC frags and I'm doing my best to get them grown into colorful colonies. More pics on the way.

The early pic was before any fish hit the water. I have the tank fully stocked now with wrasses, tangs and some cardinals, along with some random other fish.

I'm not sure what this piece is. Adam sent it as a substitute for his Bananas acro, but I never followed up with an inquiry. For the time being I have been calling it the Green Sub and I find the patterning on the tip interesting. There are 3 small splotches of the darker color so far. We'll see if this fades with time, or if more continue to display with growth.

Nobody wants to think about it, but these leak detector gadgets help put the mind at ease. Since they run on a lithium battery no cords are involved and that allows you to place them anywhere and still keep a clean setup. I even set one on my skimmer cup in hopes of preventing overflow messes should it occur. They are wifi capable and deliver an email if any moisture is detected as well as making an audible alarm similar to a smoke detector. Price isn't terrible around $40.

It has blue, royal, violet and white LEDs. I don't utilize the white at all and set the others to Blue 100%, Royal 85% and Violet 60% for my color blend. This ramps from 40% to a brief 100% over a 7hr period.

why don't you use uv and Royal at 100%? could they cause coral health problems? a friend has a 100x60x60 cm sps reef tank which ceiling light could he use? 6x39 watts + 2x75 watts Powermodule hybrid + an actinic led bar could be enough?

I use the percentages of the LEDs to build a color that appeals to me, nothing scientific behind it. I consider the LEDs as supplementation and let the T5s do the heavy lifting. From all the research I have done and in my experience T5s or MH have a more complete spectrum to grow coral. The LEDs are utilized for dusk/dawn lighting and additional color pop only.

The 100x60x60 footprint is smaller than what I have, so I would say yes that light would be more than sufficient even without the added LED bar.
