Mantis shrimp?

The clicking has only started about 90 days and like I said have not added any new rock or coral. But the clicking is vary loud and I get a lot of it when the lights ramp up and then more or it when the lights go off. I just want to make sure I don't have something hunting my fish. Also if I have to treat my fire fish for the cuts what should I use?

Im sure youve looked at these traps. https://www.google.com/search?q=man...bj9-jSAhWKSyYKHWshBH0QsAQISw&biw=1920&bih=950

Im not too much of a fish medic. But most scratches and do heal but themselves. Its infection you have to worry about.

@Lionfish Lair Do we have a fish wound article or stickie?

Looking at the picture, you might not need to. Adding vitamins to his food (selcon, vitachem, as examples) might be enough to help his immune system heal the abrasions on his own. If they start looking worse, then moving him to QT to treat with antibiotics is going to be the next stage.

Can you all tell me if these are scratches from rocks too and should they heal or need to treat asap?

They might be, but it's hard to tell from the picture.

Here is another pic,

Just give it some time, feed vitamins in the food to boost the immune system. If it doesn't start healing, or even gets worse, then you'll want to remove to QT and treat with antibiotics.

Ok thanks [emoji4] I just get worried and wanna make sure they're all happy and safe

I've kept tiny mantis shrimp that have whacked fish bigger than them and it doesn't end well for the fish. They might live for a while but they are stunned to the point of just twitching for a while before dying. The mantis won't always drag the fish off they will strike to defend their space though.

Mantis shrimp aren't very shy and reclusive. You will almost always see them when feeding the fish. If you have one it won't take that long to find out. Pistol shrimp will hide for ever without being seen.

It sounds like you are dealing with a pistol shrimp. They should be relatively harmless. As others have said I would add selcon and either fresh squeezed garlic or a garlic extract to their food and just make sure it doesn't get worse.
