Great ideas guys. I really do like that fu man chu how is it with other fish and crustaceons? I like the picasso clowns but doing lps i dont think that I'll like them hosting in my frogspawn etc... The bangai cardinal is another idea that I like. Will I need a longspine urchin for thier young to survive, or can they live without one?

Wow the forktail blenny is also a great looking fish.... I'm happy that you guys are helping me with some ideas, Thanks to all!

I've got the JBJ 28g and the only fish I keep in there is my Mandarin. He's been in there for over a year now and the nice thing about them is that you don't have the foul up the water with food since they eat only pods. All you have to do is put some more pods in there every 4-6 months, in case they can't reproduce fast enough to feed the fish.

Fu-man chu will eat anything it can fit in its mouth. So no crabs, shrimp, small fish. I had mine with a CC star and a (Large)starry blenny.

Awesome info keep the ideas coming. I want to hear all my options before I make a decision.

Mr. EWrasse, thats actually one of the ideas that I had thought of doing. My brother has the same tank and only has a target mandarin in it. He's very happy with it.

Thanks for the post.

I have a Fuzzy Dwarf Lionfish and he is so cool. So tame that I could pick him up with my hand, if I wanted to. I have to shoo him away, when I am in the tank working. Lots of personality as does the Starry Blennie.

Thanks for the post Murfman.

I am really leaning towards the fu man chu. So we all know its near impossible to have a tank without getting aptasia. Could I put anything in the tank with the Fu man Chu that would help keep the aptasia down?

My fu man chu wont touch anything. I wouldnt recomment shrimp but all other inverts its leaves alone. It will eat any fish that is small or long like a fire fish. You siad you only wanted 1 fish though.

Yea I do only want one fish as long as its decent size which a fu manchu is good for a 28 gallon. Does anyone know of anything other than Berghia and Peppermint shrimp that can help with aptasia?

Thanks for the info CoralBandit.

copper band but obviously not for you. in a 28 you should be able to eradicate by hand... preferably before you get the lion hehe. If I had a 28 I would seriously consider going rock by rock everyday checking every side to make sure you got them all after 2-3 days they should be gone. all you need is kalkwasser and RO water = joes juice. Its a base paste ;)
