Marine Bettas: Show Me Yours!

Wow that velvet outbreak must have hit hard. If I remember correctly, your Flame Hawk and your Cleaner Wrasse also survived?

Flame Hawk died a couple weeks ago. Best guess, secondary infection brought on by the Velvet wounds/copper suppressed immune system.

Wrasse jumped out of the tank just this weekend while I was away. Found the tiniest, wrasse sized opening in the otherwise solid lid.

Cockroaches may rule the land after the apocalypse, but Marine Bettas will rule the seas. Seems nothing can kill these fish.

That’s awesome. Another reason for me to get one. Sorry about your losses though. :( thought the Flame Hawk would make it. Remind me, what was the fish that introduced velvet to your system? Sorry if I’ve forgotten.

Apologies for the super late reply.
Wasn't a fish, outbreak happened way too long after the last addition. I'm certain it came aboard some snails. Two weeks after addition it all started.

Side note copper is gone, Betta is still doing great, and is now living with a maroon clownfish!
