Marineland 75g can I drill it?

I have a marineland 75g and there's a sticker on the bottom of the glass that says tempered glass do not drill. Is this just the bottom pane or all the glass?

I drilled mine on back glass with no problems. I did check it with a tablet and polarized glasses.

In gonna use the eshops medium its 800gph and should be good.

The Eschopps overflows are nice. From a flow perspective you should be fine with the M, however its really nice to have the extra drain on the L for only a few dollars more. Either way, you'll have a nice setup!

The medium says its good for up to 100 gallon, and I only have to drill one hole not 2 lol! I hate drilling holes in glass.

Here's the stand in progress Almost done. Excuse the messing basement, I'm working though lol. Im not sure I really need those supports on the bottom where I circled? I was thinking cant I just put a piece of plywood down for my sump to sit on?

Also, I did a 40" stand does anyone have a stand that tall? and is there any negative effects? Only the fact I will need a step ladder.

Well I might have screwed up the stand, I thought it was 48-inch tank but come to find out its actually 48 1/4 inches . Im not sure how bad an 1/8th on each side will be, I have to wait for my son to get home to lift the tank on and see.
Lesson learned always measure the tank, dont assume what the specs say on the website. lol

Another possible concern, other than issues with using a step, would be looking into the lights if you regularly view the tank while sitting. Not right or wrong, just another thought to consider.

Yea I could see where that could be a problem. Its staying in the basement and I don't usually sit down here so hopefully, it will be ok. Even standing it might though lol! I cant believe the difference 4 inches makes. My other stand I built at 36".

You could always use 1/4" thick boarding or something to that effect for the sides to help with the over hang of the tank.

Thank you! Yes that would work great and it might help strengthen it up a little. Thanks for the tip, I never thought of that.
