Marineland Warning

That sucks man , i have a DD300 and mine was made in July of 2018 , my buddy is on his 3rd of this tank and im hoping and praying every day that mine holds up ! sorry to hear

I dont know how you sleep at night.

Your tank is not on the recall list. It was newer models July, Aug, Sept of 2019 build dates affected.

That sucks! Hopefully you can get a tank up and going soon.

Why are you bashing marineland? You bought the tank used, could have been the previous owner that may have contributed to the failure, mainly storage in an area that goes from freezing to thaw multiple times.

WOW !!! THANK GOD !! im still nervous but confident that mine is level , i have heard that for whatever reason if these tanks are NOT LEVEL they will blow the seals ? i check mine periodically to make sure and also have self leveling rubber matt underneath . Thanks for the good news

I didn't know Marineland made rimless tanks. How thick is the glass?

Thank you all for posting this information. It is very timely as I've been looking at a 200DD tank for the next upgrade. I think I'll hold off for a while!

Just an fyi, the self leveling mat will probably void the warranty It's supposed to be tank directly on marineland stand.

ya well the marineland stands suck ! my waranty was voided the minute i set it on my stand .... mine is build like a brick **** house , and the self leveling matt i believe is an absolute must for large tanks ... JMO

Only on rimless tanks. Rimmed tanks have floating bottoms, and the weight should be completely around the edge, on the rim.

Regardless of floating bottom or not , EVERY tank should be as level as absolutely possible , therefore the self leveling rubber matt will help in any situation just adding to the stability of the tank and mine being 300 gallons i want to make sure its level

I have the 200 DD and I got it used off a reef club member. I’ve had it for at least a year & half with zero issues
