Massive fail- utterly devastated

BTW, is that massive rock structure secured in any way? It looks massively enormous and dangerous in my eyes if it's not secured...

That is sad! Sorry for your losses. You obviously care a lot for the animals in your care so I'm sure it will be a rare (hopefully, one time) event. It reminds me that "only the paranoid survive". I find myself questioning every decision I face in the hobby and generally erring on the side of caution. Of course even then, there are no guarantees.

Yup. I care. The wife said, they're just fish but after a while I think she got it. Never ever going to pull that stunt again! peace!

Thought I saw some spots on a few of your fish, had nothing to do with "ugly"

She might not say that if she knew the retail prices of all those fish. Lol

And I think those would all do fine in a 220g not sure why everyone is calling it too small a tank.

No spots. I "religiously" check them all on the daily. Thanks for looking out though. Happy reefing!

Happy shot! Everyone is eating and chilling. This is my new happy place. I watch less T.v. This is better! There must be some scientific data somewhere proving that watching a tank is good for the soul. Maybe not, but here is my anecdotal...:)

Nobody is going to comment that there are 4+ tangs, 4 (Or more) clowns, etc in a 65? :o

Lol, that will be for the next thread on why all his tangs are dieing and have white spots on them and gha is covering all the rocks due to high phos and nitrates from all the big fish in a little tank with a massive amount of rock?

You may not appreciate my acquascaping but me personally believe its going to be great biological filtration. and the fish enjoy it.

I think he'll get that part figured out sooner rather than later. Unfortunate for the fish would be my guess.

Not afraid to make mistakes and be humbled. It's part of the journey...

Yep..... Exactly. So people just aren't saying anything these days! I guess learning by experience is another technique!

It's opened up more now and appears to be breathing. Is that a good sign? Thank you!

Keep a close eye on it. If its alive it should start responding to shadow as @morpheas mentioned. If this is your first clam, read up on it. Things like: clams need lots of light... air bubble inside the clam can kill it; if you take out of water you have to burp it when you put it back in water...

Going back to what happened: I think oxygen depletion is the most likely cause. One possibility is that the water the seller said was freshly mixed saltwater... maybe it wasn't. People make mistakes. What if it was just RO water. Did you check salinity of water when you got home?
