Maxspect Gyre - Buyer Beware

I didn't know this was an issue. I have 4 Gyres and just noticed, during the last cleaning, that the sheath has cracked open and exposed the internal wires on one of them.

Hopefully they take care of me.

I hate to be "this" guy, but i had the same issue as you, maybe 4-ish? months ago i went to clean my 2 gyres, one got replaced a while back when it first started happening, but my other one was fine. Well the other one cracked, so i sent in a ticket at coralvue and was told by carlos that " it was no longer under warranty" and my only option was to buy a new motor housing for i think $70?

I said screw it, pulled them both out of my tank, tossed them in the corner and havent touched them since

For what its worth, I use 4 xf280s and Apart from the turbines wearing out every year, I have had no issues with the pump themselves.
