I've just started thinking about converting to LEDs for my new tank I'm getting in the fall. I haven't really done any research on particular brands. I do have a 4' strip of LEDs in my current tank made by SunBrite.

I wold have to say the ability to activate the Dawn/Dusk mode that will simulate the effect of the sun slowly rises and sets over the horizon. I love the flexibility of the fixture in all aspects

1. I love the versatility of the fixture - changing out leds, dawn to dusk mode, fan as needed, and the options to put it on tank. This allows user to fully meet the needs of the aquarium it is installed on.

2. added features - looks pretty complete to me
3. back tank mount is important to me - I'm setting up a tank that will be against a wall and I am short, so having a back mount so I can get into tank from front and sides is important since I am a very short person.

4. Black - as an interior designer, I know that the human eye is drawn first to the light item in the field of vision. One doesn't want to see the light fixture, only what it is lighting up.
5. I have just begun my investigation into LED fixtures since my husband and I just built our new home and, in the process, I am getting a new aquarium - we needed a different shape that the one we had.
