Thanks but I mean what filter are you using?MarinePure ceramic gems, chemipure blue, and filter floss
Oh! It’s an AIO, I just use the back chambers and the return pump that came with it. Does that answer your question? Thanks but I mean what filter are you using?
Yeah thats what I was looking for! Thanks! I was just 8 pages in and forgot what was the filter so i asked lolOh! It’s an AIO, I just use the back chambers and the return pump that came with it. Does that answer your question?
Have you tried Purigen?MarinePure ceramic gems, chemipure blue, and filter floss
I’m away for the week, but iirc the display is 12” across, 6” front to back, 8” deep, and the back chamber is 12” by 3” by 8”.Awesome tank! I’m interested in one of these as well. What are the filtration and display area dimensions?
I haven’t, never really looked into it. Do you recommend it?Have you tried Purigen?
It works for me! I see a lot of posts about chemipure, but it seems to me that chemipure is the same as MatrixCarbon, which I was using in addition to Purigen before my LFS told me I didn’t need it because the Purigen was doing everything. I switched to just Matrix (biomedia) in addition to my MediaPure balls. Since my Kenya leather tree has become a Kenya leather forest, I added a small bag of carbon to the sump area as well just to be safe. Honestly I could probably be fine with just Purigen and biomedia, but it would really suck to find out I was wrong about that!I haven’t, never really looked into it. Do you recommend it?
. I pulled some clumps out, but I might try a black out to kill it off.I’ve done several week trips without having any maintenance on tanks, but it was the first time for this one. It crossed my mind a few times, but it’s simple enough that not too much can go wrong (or so I tell myself...)Oh man! I haven’t left mine for that long yet, that must have been stressful! You could probably place a glass screen over the top to prevent evaporation, mine has a hood and I don’t get much at all unless I’m running the fan to keep it cool.
I don’t, I just make sure they’re fed right before I leave, and while I’m gone they have the pod life to feed on. I’ve always just had gobies/Blennies/wrasses that tend to be a bit more self sufficient, though.Do you have an auto feeder? I know fish can go a while without food, but mine are used to getting fed twice a day and I always feel terrible if I leave for a few days.
