Oh my! I totally forgot to include all the awesome sexy features! lolThat's a nice power head!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How many gph is it? And how about the settings?
Nice new powerhead! I just ordered the drivers to upgrade mine. Hopefully the extra flow helps a bit with the cyano.

Suction cups in a saltwater tank should be banned.

Awesome!I didn't take a picture of it, but I've started to get the cyano under control. I've stopped with the peroxide dosing and upped my water changes back to weekly. I'm pretty much forcing myself to squeak in a water change during any spare moments I can find. It's working! Yay!. Now for the amazing news. My husband has given me permission to upgrade yet again. I'm going for a 6x2x2 foot tank. I want to put it in the wall and have it wrap around the corner into the hallway for the long view. I'll be reusing a lot of the stuff I already have since most of it is over sized for the 75. My skimmer, sump, lights, mp40, all the rock, apex ect. will all be used on the larger tank. I'll be buying a 3rd light to go with the two I already have, new sand, a new return pump and maybe another mp40 to sync up with the other one. I'm pretty excited about it, but it wont be happening until the new year at the earliest. Just wanted to give yall a bit of a teaser I guess.![]()
Awesome!
Excited to see this come to life. A couple weeks ago you were saying you barely had time for your 75.......now your going for a 180! I think that's the size for those dementions[emoji15]We'll see. My budget for the tank and stand is only $1000. I think I can get everything else for about $500. We all know how that works of course. Budgets get stretched every time. But I'm great with stretching a dollar, so I think I can stay close. It wont be fancy, but it WILL be big!

exciting this will be!

We get it done! This will definitely be exciting! For you and for us[emoji4]Your very right. I want a bigger tank so that I have more room and more water. I've been putting extra into this tank so that when I broached the subject with my husband I could say "look! I can handle it with my workload, so I can handle a bigger tank". I had to prove it to us both. I think I can do it and I think it will reinvigorate my passion for it as well. No more excuses for me! I just have to make the time for it![]()

Merediths' giant 180 gallon reef! That's what you can call it[emoji12]
Are you going to have it built or just buying one? The reason I ask is because I was wanting to know if it was going to be dual overflow at the corners with it being a corner mounted wall tank.I'll have to start a build thread for it, but not anytime soon. It wont happen until the new year since I have to save up for it.

Alright cool! That's what I was wondering lol, if the side of the overflow would be visible. Sounds like a cool build! Look forward to seeing itI'm just buying the tank since having one built will cost twice as much and that's more than my budget even with the discount. I'm having them build my stand for me though. Just a wood frame stand that will go behind the wall.
It's going to have dual overflows, but the rear of the tank will only be visible by me when I'm in the fish room/office. I'm thinking of having it wrap around the corner of the wall and hallway so you can see it from the end too, but it will be cut short to hide that side's overflow.
Busy busy busy! Sounds like a fun project though!I've got a lot to do to prepare for this build. The spare bedroom needs to be emptied, carpet replaced with something more saltwater friendly (probably tile), shelving built to hold QT tanks and other equipment, RODI moved into that room, construction on the wall, then comes the tank and any new equipment I might need. I have a call into Rapid LED to see if I can get a third onyx fixture to match my other two.... haven' t heard back yet. I may call them again and start nagging.
until all that starts.... time for another water change! It's funny, the cyano is almost completely gone and I'm pretty sure it's due to the more frequent water changes. The peroxide worked, but I had my dosage way off, so I stopped that more than a week ago.
