Its here! Its here! So im pretty impressed with the care that went into packing this coral. Im also impressed with the size of the coral itself. I was fully prepared to get a small 2 or 3 inch piece, but this is clearly 4 inches! I temp acclimated and then did a dip with revive while doing a fast drip acclimation. Placed it in the tank before the lights came on. Its been in there for about 30 minutes when this picture was taken, sonits not open yet. Im crossing my fingers!

I'll be much happier when it opens up and I can see how big it really is. I may have to move it to the other side of the tank so it doesn't sting everything around it! I think it's going to be huge!

LA is awesome--they package very well. I usually have them shipped to my UPS facility since it's only 5min away and I could have it home as early as 9am.

I love some of the frag choices you've selected. That Elegance is very nice and hopefully opens up soon. Beautiful thread going atm too btw. Goodluck!

Thanks so much for the kind words! I was surprised when the coral arrived at 10 am this morning. I guess I got lucky because some people have reported their packages not making it until late in the day. It's opening little by little, so hopefully by this evening I can post a better pictures. I might even get out a real camera for it.

Forgot to add the top two pics earlier. The last is the almost fully open elegance. I believe it still has some expanding to do when it settles in fully. I do see slightly pink tips, but im hoping that will become much brighter in the next week or two.

They take awhile to settle in. Looks amazing already and it will expand dramatically once fully adapted.

Elegance and flower pots are both my Achilles' heel when it comes to corals. Hope you have better luck than I!

I had one years and years ago. it was tiny but it did fine. I didn't even know what exactly it was! But I'm nervous about this one. I hope it does well too! At least I have the two week live guarantee

Thanks. My wrasse was injured by me during the transfer to the display. I accidentally pinned him with the net so now he's back in the QT. I hope he makes it.

My elegance coral isn't doing so hot either. It's a sad day on my reef. The pretty tentacles aren't out at all. It almost looks like hair that was burnt.... you know? all shriveled up? I'm glad I have the guarantee!

It's ok! These things happen.... it's all apart of reef keeping. My wrasse has a decent chance to make it because he's not battling anything else along with the injury and my coral has a 14 day guarantee. It could be worse.

I hope your wrasse turns around! Mine ended up having a bladder problem 2 weeks after arrival... RIP Hoggie
