Micro bubbles scrubbing DT

Has anyone tried using a Mazzei injector? I’ve used one previously on a FW tank to inject CO2 and I would get a very fine mist.

This is from the Mazzei website:
When you need to inject air, oxygen, or ozone into water, a venturi injector is one of the best methods to use. Tests have shown that when installed properly, these injectors can transfer ozone into water with efficiencies as high as 99%. While typically used for ozone, air, or oxygen injection, venturi injectors are also compatible with liquids.

Using a mazzei to inject air into the body of the tank? No, I think the whole notion of scrubbing bubbles is absurd - and it would make a heck of a mess. Using a mazzei-based skimmer? Yes, my current skimmer uses dual 784 injectors and they're quite effective; BUT, they require a good quality pressure rated pump to function properly.

I am not debating if bubble scrubbing works or not. I was asking if anyone has tried using a Mazzei injector. When I used mine for CO2 on a FW planted tank and I forget which model it was, it created a mist or fog in the tank. If the purpose of bubble scrubbing is to get the smallest bubbles possible a Mazzei should work to do that. Yes you would need to size the pump to the specific Mazzei injector, but the folks that make them will tell you what size pump to use for the size of injector you are using.

...... and I answered you .....

So tired of the skeptic scientist. All they need is one miracle and then they can explain the rest. I get it....show me the evidence....blah blah.

Comments made like bubbling is absurd.....really? Are we not bubbling with our skimmers, but only on a smaller scale? Why is bubbling the tank absurd.....especially if the reefer is not achieving optimal aeration or nutrient removal? Is it absurd to waste $50 a month on soda lime to improve PH.....or more absurd to improve PH via $10 pump and $5 lime wood air stone? I would much rather brush a little salt creep once a month vs spending 50 a month on soda lime.

Ty Cruz for doing the research/testing that you have done to try and bring the common reefer an avenue that may help them achieve a thriving reef tank. I have never tried the nano bubbling, however may give it a go sometime in the future.

I’m guessing we brought all the skeptic scientists over from RC. Listened to them over there talk about how Bio-Pellets can’t lower nutrients, how it’s absolutely impossible to run a tank without WC etc, etc, etc...we all know how that turned out!! It was a good laugh over there when those same scientist would post shots of their softy mushroom tanks!

Thanks again for the read!

Cheers

Thank you for the kind words, @Seminoles76 ... this method was never meant for profit. This was purely for the love of reefing and love of the game, in keeping sps and other reef critters.

Sincerely,

R. Cruz Arias

Well said!!! Having read several posts on micro Bubbling and it's definitely peeked my curiosity - THIS, hits the nail on the head.
