I am only speaking for myself, and I've only ever followed its directions. I dose my tank weekly with usually Microbacter7 though every other week I am supposed to alternate dose BioDigest with Bioptim boost (but its easier to just dose Microbacter7 than deal with cutie vials).
I've had no problems.
Now I have to go see what others have written.....
I used this product for years and never had a problem. I was convinced you could not overdose so when I got some cyano in my 10 gallon office tank I put a full 500ml bottle into the tank. I know stupid but I had dosed way more than normal with no issues. The next day the damsel in my tank was dead and the dissolved oxygen was really low. (inverts at the top gasping for air.) However, after a water change all the coral were okay and there was no cyano in sight.

I'd be surprised if it killed fish, at least assuming it is what they claim.

Use it often, especially if it is time to change the water and I do not have the time to do it. No ill effect what so ever.

I can't find any instances where Microbacter7 itself used responsibly (directions!) killed fish...
I've found a TON of examples where other things were going on in tank, Microbacter 7 was used, fish died, but probably died due to the 'other things' that were pre-existing before Microbacter 7 was used. Some of the times I saw people using it seemed more like Hail Mary to even be using Microbacter 7 - it isn't going to solve all the world's problems. I did even go back and re-read its label but its pretty specific in it's Overview section what it does... maybe people are hanging on 'water clarity' words and hoping for miracles; suspect maybe the front label 'water clarity' is why people are (wrongly) using it on bacterial blooms but unknown...
Perhaps you might post examples of what you saw...

I've seen it recommended in so many scenarios/threads I don't even know what the product does lol. But it cannot do all that everyone recommends it for imo. I'd be interested in a thread that asked "what does MB7 do for you"

Exactly. I mean, it sounds great and looks good on paper... Type in Microbacter 7 into google and see what autocompletes

It seems to be helping. I am also doing a lot of other things so I don’t want to falsify that MB7 has been the turning point. But I think it’s been a factor absolutely.
