Mid-Year tank progress! Let's see your growth!

No corals yet, but I’d still like to play :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

My tank is exactly 6 months old. Nine fish, and a bunch of inverts.

Really nice, I love the minimalist aquascapes.

Some great progress in 8 months!
Thanks @Gumbies R Us This isn't my first tank. But, this is my first tank after a very long hiatus (about 8 years). Honestly, with all the new tech and available information (internet) the tank has been easy so far. Especially since I chose to get a smaller tank. This makes it easier to keep up with the maintenance without being overwhelmed. The only issue I have is the corals are starting to get a little too big for the tank. So, some of them are starting to touch. Guess I have to get rid of a zoa rock or learn how to prune them off the rock.

My tanks are definitely maruring now, and so am I. I was a total noob with a 1 gal and a 5 gal tank. Tough deal but I'm stable now

My 20 gallon tide pool/grow out macroalgae tank. It was set up in January with brand new live rock, and live sand.

IMG_1890.jpeg

Over the course of 6 months I gathered different macroalgae and other encrusting organisms from under a dock I work at, as well as collecting various other macroalgae, rocks, and beach sand. I Mostly leave it alone except for regular trimming, and doing water changes every 3 weeks or so with nitrates consistently staying put at 10-12ppm. There’s 3 fish in the tank currently, being a juvenile sergeant major a juvenile puddingwife wrasse, and a blenny.

Tank is sitting about 6 months in. Just picked up some really cheap sps from a local reefer. He was shutting down his tank and getting rid of stuff at a really good price. Space is getting tight in the nano so I just bought a new tank today.

Doing awesome! Numbers rarely fluctuate. Fish and corals alike are getting big. Love this Hobby. Happy reefing everyone

5 months into a 15 gal AIO as the tank didn’t arrive until late January and had cycled by February. 6 months into a clusterf*ck of a 40 gal QT/DT into a new 40 gal AIO mess. Been through everything from algae killing corals to Brooklynella to brown jelly in multiple tanks, complete loss of fish to setting up an 80 gal grow tank. Guess we’ve been a little busy. Today I also gave away my a**hole (Lyretail Hawk) who recently killed an angel and clown by bully tactics and ramming. Sad to see him go but to save the others I made the call. Pics show our progress and stages of changing aqua scape to tank swap.

After the reset this is as far as I've gotten. Summer busyness has slowed it down.

Recently got over a battle with cyano, finally got my phos and nitrates up and color is returning to my tank. My acid trip Nem has taken off and I now have 3.

The only early full tank pic I have lists all of my frag names so ignore that lol.

Sept of last year.......

Current......

I wish I'd kept mine labeled like that. Started one and let it go. Can't remember half the names now. :-) very nice!
