Midas Blenny Help!

Midas blenny died after 2 weeks in aquarium but store gave me a full refund. They only gave me a refund because when they were bagging the blenny the guy dropped it in the sink and had to dig it out with his fingers. I think that's what killed it in the 1st place way to much stress on the fish and me.
Going to get some sps with store credit. They also did check my nitrate with 3 different brand test kits at my request all 0.

Im not positive that the sink jump was the cause. Might have added to stress that allowed a disease present in the tank already to take hold.
But ive tetras jump on my floor be there for sometime, die 4 years later.

Before adding new fish i would watch your current fish closely. Any scratching on rocks, unexplained sores or spots, special attention to eyes and gills.

I watch may aquarium like a hawk. You don't have to worry about that but the 9 others are super happy at the time.

Only thing I have be worried about is orp on apex keeps going up cleaned it 2 weeks ago went down now up again to 400

Orp is going to swing from any large fatalities. Chemicals released from decomposition, then the decreased bioload...

honestly from my understanding orp is useful for running ozone or telling you when something has died or a heads up if falls or rises to levels uncommon in a reef aquarium.

I have never been involved in any forum before but it seems like it's all about proving people wrong then helping them I guess the suggestion on a nitrate test kit other then API was good but that's about it. Probably just shake bottle #2 for the suggested amount of time and be fine. I know there's alot of knowledge out there for me to be learned but no one really cared about the blenny. RIP little guy
