Might have made a big mistake...

Is it best to leave the skimmer on or keep it off while it is still in it's "crazy stage?"

Im confused, Aquamend is by far the best reef welder.

Agreed. I've used too many tubes to count in my tank. :ooh: Not even close to skimmer craziness as the TLF stuff.

Everything looks great so far, aside from the crazy microbubbles from the skimmer.

Thanks again for the helpful advice everyone. Definitely calmed me down, hah.

A single marble sized piece of aquamend made my water cloudy as heck, (175 gallons) I'm not really happy with it. Warnings on the package about touching your eyes, your skin, getting it in your mouth.....but its fine for the fishes ?? my LFS sells some similar epoxy that is purposely coralline colored, it costs twice as much but you get twice as much. I'm gonna assume that wouldn't turn my water cloudy and is safer since its geared towards the reefer and sold in an LFS not a hardware store.

No more aquamend for me.....

You must be doing something different. I have never had aquamend cloud my tanks at all... I've put 2 entire sticks into a 6g AIO system and the water was CC... no skimmer.

I wonder what happened to make the aquamend do that?

The more expensive putty is the same chemicals that are in Aquamend + Dye.

The warning on the label are no different from any other product... For example, super glue is more harmful to the person than aquamend and I have covered myself in SG many times.

What works for humans, may not work for fish and visa versa... don't eat the fish food either, they ain't joking when they say "not for human consumption."

Yeah, I use aquamend all the time. I've never had any problems and I've used tons of tubes by now. superglue gel --- aquamend ----superglue gel. Works like a charm.

:0 Thanks Kraylen! I had bought some after reading (on a less cared for forum, dang now im gonna get banned) That it was reef safe.. Im really glad i did not use it yet.
