Ok so last year I went cheap on things(my nano in 90 build) to see if I could do it, I think it was a great success. After the contest I sold the tank to some nice people. After some time without a Nano or a tank for that matter I knew I wanted to build a very unique Nano.
We had taken one shot at this build with a “scrap box†from an acrylic company. I learned a lot from the build, what I would change and things I had done that I liked. One thing I would change is the tank, it should have stayed a “scrap boxâ€. It bows really bad, So on Saturday we ordered a new tank. Using ½ acrylic it will be rimless. 44x10x10 comes out just under 20 gallons. It will be lit by 3 par 38 full spectrum leds. We had the lights wired into the house as nice pendants. With timers built into the light switch. I made my own sump out of a 10 gallon tank.We used a 55 gallon stand and Cindy tiled the top with some glass tiles. Thewhole tank will be re done over the next few weeks but I will post some build pictures.
Thanks for looking

Very cool so far!

Thank you for the nice coments. The tank pictured is the old ( from febuary) tank the new tank will be here in about 10 days. It will not have the center brace like the one in the picture.
I went to order BRS dosing pumps last night and out of stock....Hope they have some soon or I might have to start looking for used ones.

Love it!

I'm loving this build so far!! Good luck!!

I never thought I'd be so excited about a nano tank!  I'm in charge of aquascaping (I have a fun plan for that if I can get the rocks I need), and am starting to pull together the corals (they're going in my 180 for now) and planning the fish population for it.  Thank goodness for live sales and ebay!  Otherwise, my wallet would go on strike.
Picking up the finished tank today. Looking forward to no more bowing!
