Mike and Terry's 300g Reef

i love this and its giving me lots of ideas for my soon to be upsizing. do you have a shot of your tank from a distance thats shows what it looks like with stand, canopy, etc?? im sure i have missed it somewhere :squigglemouth:

also, is your tank sitting directly on the marble (or other material) top?

That is a SMOKIN Hot tank!!!

Makes me really miss my old tank, time to start growing some SPS again.

Thank you for that awesome compliment! It's getting there - just going to take time for some of the corals to grow in.

Thank you and glad to hear you are getting some ideas from our thread. The quartz counter top wraps around the tank. It was installed after the tank was set in place and before we added water. Here are a couple of pics showing the tank, stand and canopy:

WOW!!! Your tank is phenomenal!!! The pics are awesome and thanks for sharing how you get such good pics. I just need to get a new lens for my Nikon so when I get my tank in a couple months I can get some good pics as well. Thank you so much for sharing your slice of the reef!!

you mean to say, you guys could've taken the whole wall and instead opted for the 300g? LoL. j/k... tank looks much smaller from the away pics. but man, nice work on the cabinetry and quartz counter top. it really makes the tank part of the house. maybe in a few years when we move, I can finally have a fish room and possibly create something close to what you guys did. keep it going guys. :)

Thanks guys for the kind words! There's nothing like appreciation from our peers to make us feel good...it really means a lot.

As far as the cabinetry, and the tank taking up the whole front room...it is a pretty narrow room, but yeah, we did want to dedicate the room to the display. It's a bit tricky to get a picture that shows the whole stand. Here's an older shot before we had water in it:

regardless man. the tank looks like its part of the room. I bet you guys spend some coffee/tea time in there.
